LAS VEGAS – The “Best of Show” prize at the 2004 International Security Conference (ISC) West went to a company that didn’t exist before the start of the conference.
Launching at ISC West, oneID won the top honor in the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) Awards with its Simple Verification™ product taking the Best of Show Innovation Award.
The NPS winners were announced at the entrance of ISC West on April 1. There were 64 entries for the 13 awards presented at NPS.
Simple Verification is one of three initial offerings by oneID, which officially announced its launch the day before ISC on March 31. “It took us 10 months to get to this point,” oneID
President and CEO Andrew Chapman told Security Sales & Integration of the company’s launch. “This is big. To win this is a great honor.”
Simple Verification is an identification and background verification service that uses biometric platforms for ID authorization. Another of oneID’s initial offerings, ServiceAlert™, uses Simple Verification to provide real-time customer-specific information and can be used by an end user to keep tabs on when their security or other electronic system is being installed.
Among the other NPS winners were entries from Bosch Security Systems, Datastrip Inc., GE Security, M&S Systems and AES IntelliNet.
