HID Global of Irvine, Calif., announces the newest version of its versatile RP40 multiCLASSTM reader. The product now supports Indala 125kHz proximity and AWID, in addition to HID proximity.
The product has combined 13.56MHz contactless smart card and reader technologies into a single reader. Customers can transition from disparate proximity technologies to a unified contactless smart card solution from HID, according to the company. The reader has multiple compatibility configurations and can read access control technologies such as iCLASS®, ISO 14443B, MIFARE, DESFire and U.S. Government PIV II credentials.
