Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will provide the keynote address at ISC East, to be held Oct. 29 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. The former U.S. presidential candidate was selected to speak at the event because of his vast knowledge of New York City’s infrastructure, as well as his leadership role in rebuilding and revitalizing the city in the wake of 9/11.
Among his accolades, TIME Magazine recognized Giuliani as the 2001 Person of the Year, referring to him as “Mayor of the World” and commending him for going above and beyond his call of duty. He also received the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom award, which is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the cause of freedom worldwide.
Giuliani’s keynote will not only articulate the changing face of security to industry professionals, but also provide them with advice on crisis management as well as successful leadership and its importance.
