Integrated IP systems manufacturer S2 Security Corp. has received a U.S. patent for the architecture used in its physical security network appliances. The company’s S2 NetBox, S2 Enterprise and several OEM products have received the global protection.

“The S2 product line was a 100 percent clean sheet design and we have developed a lot of valuable intellectual property as a result,” says S2 Security CEO John Moss. “Innovation is a core value at S2, and there will certainly be more patents issued in the coming months and years.”

The S2 NetBox and S2 Enterprise IP-based security management systems offer a wide range of capabilities, including video management, access control, temperature monitoring, event monitoring and management, and other critical security functions.

The patent covers the architecture of the S2 product line as a whole. Additional applications are in process for specific methodology used in communications, device discovery and information management.
