S2 Security, OnSSI Join to Develop IP-Based Video Surveillance Solution
WELLESLEY, Mass.
S2 Security Corp., a provider of network-based integrated physical security solutions, announces its partnership with On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), a manufacturer of IP-based video surveillance software, to develop an integrated IP-based video surveillance and physical security solution.
The new solution will integrate the S2 NetBox integrated physical security management system with the OnSSI IP surveillance NVR and intelligent video delivery platforms. Video surveillance will correspond to events detected by a range of physical security devices, including access control and alarm and temperature monitoring.
According to S2 and OnSSI, each unauthorized access attempt or perimeter security breach will prompt the system to attach video to such events, relieving users of having to search for video to match security exceptions. The results are quicker response times and streamlined investigations of security events.
OnSSI President and CTO Gadi Piran says the collaboration between the two companies “represents a transition in video surveillance, shifting the focus from merely aggregating video content to intelligent events-based detection and video delivery.”
