SAFLINK Joins Forces With Microsoft

Biometric security manufacturer SAFLINK Corp. is teaming up with computer software leader Microsoft Corp. on physical and IT security solutions for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The two companies will combine SAFLINK’s biometric security products with Microsoft’s enterprise software for DHS programs involving biometrics, smart cards and physical security controls.

“We believe that Microsoft’s .NET platform … will meet the scalability and security requirements we must deliver into these large-scale critical infrastructure solutions,” says Greg Jensen, SAFLINK’s CTO.

The SAFLINK/Microsoft partnership will target border control and identity management products.
