‘SAMMY’ NOMINATIONS ARE IN; BAY ALARM BAGS 8 BIDS

TORRANCE, Calif.

Bay Alarm Co. in Walnut Creek, Calif., leads the field with nominations in eight categories, including Best Overall Marketing Program (more than $20 million in revenues), as Security Sales announces the finalists for the magazine’s 6th annual Sales and Marketing (SAMMY) awards program. Knight Protective Services Inc. of North Hollywood, Calif., and Palmetto Security Systems of Hilton Head, S.C., each made the cut in four award categories, including Best Overall Marketing Program ($2 million to $20 million) and Best Overall Marketing Program ($2 million or less), respectively. A total of 230 entries were submitted for the 2000 program, which honors dealers across 15 categories for their marketing ingenuity. Each finalist will soon receive an official letter of notification, with the winners being revealed at a gala awards reception and ceremony at the Marquis Marriott Hotel in New York on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. (ET). The event is open to everyone.
