RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. — Samsung Techwin America has appointed Dr. Edward Wassall as director of IP Product and Business Development. He will report to Frank DeFina, the company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, North America.
In his new role, Wassall will manage the sales and development aspects of the company’s IP technology and security product portfolio. He will also work with field management teams to increase sales of the IP security product line and to develop and maintain high levels of product value and industry recognition. Wassall will continue to work closely with the ONVIF standards body as Samsung’s contributing member.
Prior to joining Samsung, Wassall, who has a Ph.D. in information technology, worked at Anixter for 17 years as director of systems engineering, vice president of integration services and later vice president of national IP solutions.
