Samsung Techwin Drops ADSS; Restructures Sales, Marketing Efforts
CARSON, Calif.
Samsung Techwin has terminated its distribution and marketing relationship with Advanced Digital Security Solutions Inc. (ADSS), which began marketing the company’s video surveillance products under the name Samsung360° in 2006.
The sales and marketing efforts of Samsung Techwin products in North America will be conducted by Secaucus, N.J.-based Samsung Opto-Electronics America Inc. (SOA), a subsidiary of Samsung Techwin. SOA previously managed Samsung Techwin products prior to ADSS’ affiliation.
“In making this change, Samsung is making a heavy commitment to the American market,” says S.O. Park, manager of Samsung Techwin’s overseas sales group. “We recognize that customer service and technical support are the key ingredients for success. The establishment of experienced teams in these areas is our first priority.”
All sales, marketing and product support functions will be handled through a new Samsung Techwin office in Carson, Calif. The Secaucus location will remain operational and serve as Samsung Techwin’s East Coast presence.
