Sargent Manufacturing Co., an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has donated exterior and interior locks for a two-family residence constructed in New Haven, Conn., as part of Yale School of Architecture’s annual Vlock Building Project.

Designed and built by Yale students, the 2,100 square-foot-residence includes a 700 square-foot, one-bedroom rental unit.

In addition to providing the two exterior mortise locks and 15 interior locks from the company’s Studio Series, SARGENT invited all of the students involved in the project to tour the company’s New Haven headquarters. Experts from Sargent explained the locks’ features and offered advice on how they would be installed.

Kris-Bylan Rydel, Sargent’s marketing and communications manager, says the company’s participation is very much in line with Sargent’s commitment to community improvement.
