The Scanshell 3000 Duplex Scanner by Card Scanning Solutions of Los Angeles is an A4 duplex scanner equipped to scan both sides of an ID card. The product is equipped with optical character recognition (OCR) software that enables it to read scanned text. In addition, the system will compare the OCR data to the data encoded within the card, whether via magnetic stripe, RFID or smart card technology. This is accomplished using additional hardware available from other vendors. The data derived from the Scanshell 3000 can then be saved to a data file for use now or at a later time.
