ScanSource Named Again to Forbes’ ‘Best Big Companies’ List
GREENVILLE, S.C.
For the third straight year, ScanSource Inc., a distributor of specialty technology products, has been named to Forbes magazine’s Platinum 400 List of America’s Best Big Companies.
Based on its five-year total return percentage of 23.7 percent as computed by Forbes, ScanSource ranked 6th out of all technology companies and 131 overall, according to a company statement. ScanSource is one of only two technology distributors included in the 2007 list and the only specialty technology distributor.
Forbes editors say its Platinum 400 list is compiled by screening more than 1,000 publicly traded companies with at least $1 billion in revenue and a stock price of at least $5 per share. The pool of companies include both American and foreign corporations with a significant presence in the U.S.
