Schneider Electric Completes Rebranding of TAC

Schneider Electric has completed the strategic rebranding of TAC, a provider of home automation and security solutions, as its buildings business unit.

By changing the TAC name to that of its parent company, which was first announced in July, Schneider Electric officials say the business is now poised to directly offer customers a full range of solutions across its core competencies: power, data centers, industrial automation, building management and security.

The brand migration will enable customers worldwide to realize optimal energy and security efficiencies, and the associated savings in capital and operating expenses, says Chris Curtis, president and CEO of Schneider Electric’s Buildings Business.

“This brand migration is more than just a name change; this is a new way of approaching our energy management business and customers’ needs,” Curtis says. “Establishing the Buildings Business as the center for one of Schneider Electric’s core competencies is a major companywide initiative.”
