security industry, has released a new E-commerce Web site
for the firm’s customers. The Web site, at HREF=’http://www.sdilink.com’
TARGET=’_blank’>www.sdilink.com, is VeriSign secured
and allows clients to order online, check inventory
availability, and view and print past invoices. The system
also can be used to make payments online using a credit
card.
One useful feature associated with the SDI shopping
card system is the dealer can select from their own
history of recent purchases. They also can buy at the same
prices, assuming that the cost has not changed since their
last purchase.
Dealers also can do many of the things
they do during business hours after SDI is closed for the
day, such as check pending inventory and make purchases.
In addition, local buyers can often pick their newly
placed order by the next day.
