SAN FRANCISCO—Seam, a United States based provider of a hardware agnostic access control platform, announced the release of 2N intercom integration.

The integration now allows for the connection and control of 2N intercoms and access systems to the Seam platform via the Seam API and Seam Space Dashboard. The company states that users can unlock doors, edit resident directory, and retrieve entry events.  The San Francisco-based company points out that most 2N intercom models come with a built-in camera. Integration to the camera feed will be part of the company’s broader Universal Camera API anticipated to be released later in third quarter (Q3) of 2023.

Seam’s 2N integration goes through the My2N cloud. The company notes that users will need credentials to My2N, as well as the on-premesis unit that users are trying to connect with.

To start, Seam explains, users will need to open the Seam Space dashboard and navigate to “+ Linked Account.” Once, there, users will select 2N as the provider. The next step is to enter the My2N cloud credentials. Seam will then retrieve all of the users’ devices.

According to the company, users will then be presented with a list of all these devices. The next step is to select the devices they want to connect with. Seam will then present a login screen for each project as each on premises device will have its own login credentials.

Once your devices are connected, users will be able to unlock the door, edit residents, retrieve events, and eventually tap into the camera feed of the device.
