Securicor, a global security services provider, announces that it has acquired the international high value goods transportation businesses operated by the Australian Group, Brambles Industry Limited (BIL). Established in 1987, Bramble Security Services Inc. (BSSI) is the second-largest transporter in the international valuables market and the acquisition provides Securicor with a platform from which to grow its cross-border security services operations. BSSI, which had sales of $23.1 million in 1999, is headquartered in New Jersey, and has additional offices in London, New York, Sydney and Salt Lake City.
Nick Buckles, CEO of Securicor Security, explains, “The acquisition of BSSI is a major strategic step toward Securicor’s objective of becoming one of the largest global providers of cash in transit and high value goods transportation services. BSSI will reinforce our international infrastructure and will enable us to offer customers a one-stop shop for all their security transport services.”
