WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Commercial security solutions provider Security 101, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital, announces the acquisition of AV-Worx, an audiovisual systems integrator specializing in mission-critical environments, control rooms, emergency operations centers and advanced visualization systems.
This acquisition “represents a strategic expansion for Security 101 into a capability that runs alongside electronic security in the environments Security 101 designs, installs and supports every day,” according to the joint announcement.
AV-Worx “strengthens Security 101’s ability to deliver environments where security and AV work together seamlessly by adding deep expertise in advanced AV engineering, visualization and operational collaboration systems that naturally complement Security 101’s core security platform,” the announcement says.
Why Did Security 101 Acquire AV-Worx?
“Security 101 has built its reputation by simplifying complex systems and standing behind them with a world-class customer experience,” says Greg Daly, CEO of Security 101, in the joint announcement. “AV-Worx is a unique addition to our platform because professional AV technology is present in almost every environment we support.
“This acquisition strengthens our ability to deliver integrated spaces that are not only secure, but also functional, intuitive and built for real-world operations,” he says.
AV-Worx “brings deep expertise in high-reliability AV deployments designed for real-time decision-making and operational performance,” according to the joint announcement.
This includes the design and integration of control rooms and emergency operations centers, video wall deployments and visualization environments and network-centric AV systems that support unified communications and collaboration across multi-site facilities.
AV-Worx has delivered projects across utilities, public safety, transportation, enterprise, government and critical infrastructure environments.
AV-Worx will continue operating under the AV-Worx name as part of the Security 101 family. Customers can expect uninterrupted service and continued support from their existing AV-Worx teams, according to the joint announcement.
“We are excited to join Security 101,” says Johannes Csonka, founder of AV-Worx, in the announcement. “This partnership allows us to scale our capabilities, expand geographically, and deliver even greater value to our customers while maintaining the engineering rigor, innovation, and service standards that define AV-Worx.”
Together, Security 101 and AV-Worx “expand the ability to support environments where physical security, visualization and operational collaboration must work in alignment,” according to the joint announcement. For customers, this means “a more coordinated delivery partner across systems that help teams monitor activity, share information and act with speed and clarity in mission-critical and high-complexity facilities.”
