Safeguard Security Holdings Inc., known more for its security guard services, has entered the venue of security systems with its acquisition of Dallas-based integrator SYSTEMSGroup Inc. Terms were not released for the acquisition of SYSTEMSGroup, which has annual revenues of $7 million.
Houston-based Safeguard, which has no relation to Scottsdale, Ariz., alarm company Safeguard Security and Communications, says it is looking to creating a new kind of security integration between security systems and security guards.
“We are committed to building an integrated security company where digital systems and physical guards can be utilized in tandem,” said Safeguard CEO Brown Glenn in a statement. “We believe that demand for this convergence of physical and electronic assets will be driven by customers, demanding a more cost-effective solution.”
SYSTEMSGroup provides installation and integration of security systems for Fortune 100 clients and museums. Its installation at the Dallas Museum of Art was profiled in the “Industry Pulse” section of the February issue of Security Sales & Integration.
