EXTON, Pa. — During its recent shareholders meeting, Security-Net announced it will provide a project management certification course.
Held Jan. 24-25 at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa in Newport Beach, Calif., the annual event marked the organization’s 20th anniversary. Representatives from the group’s 19 member companies reviewed general business of the organization, provided strategic direction relating to its national accounts program, discussed continuing education programs for employees, and reviewed expanding its partnership program with manufacturers.
“We’re doing a lot of national accounts business,” Security-Net Board of Directors President Joe Liguori says. “As a result, we’re standardizing our procedures as an organization and providing additional education to our project managers so they will be better equipped to do their jobs in a marketplace.”
Additionally, the group introduced a project management certification program that allows two employees from each Security-Net member company to participate in an online training course. By September, the organization expects to have 38 project managers certified through the program.
“As an organization, we regularly certify our engineers and train our sales people,” Liguori says. “We feel it’s important to now provide our project managers with the same type of tools and educational support.”
