Security Networks announces the launch of EnergyUnited Security, a joint venture with EnergyUnited Power Co., headquartered in Statesville, N.C. EnergyUnited, the third-largest provider of electricity to residential customers in North Carolina, will offer both residential and commercial security products and services throughout the state. In addition to internal growth efforts, EnergyUnited Security’s strategy includes growth through acquisitions and an authorized dealer program.

“We are thrilled with the unique partnership we have formed with Security Networks, which joins its experience and track record in the security industry with our resources and brand awareness in the North Carolina marketplace,” says David Meacham, EnergyUnited’s vice president of business strategy. “Through this partnership, we expect to become a significant player in the security alarm business.”

Richard Perry, Security Networks president and founder, adds, “EnergyUnited understands the value of partnering with an entrepreneurial company like Security Networks, and how powerful combining our skill sets with theirs can be, and that is what makes me excited about this venture.” Security Networks, a full-service electronic security and life safety company, has more than 50 employees and conducts business in three states.
