LIVINGSTON, N.J. — Keith Oringer, the founder and president of brokerage, advisory and consulting firm Security ProAdvisors, died April 11 at age 64, according to a post on his LinkedIn feed.
He was born in Forest Hills, Queens, N.Y., on Jan. 6, 1961, and raised in Jericho, N.Y., according to his obituary.
Oringer was “the beloved husband of Nicole, devoted father of Andrew and Eric, cherished brother of Wendi, and loving uncle to Josie and Maya,” according to his obituary.

Oringer spent more than 20 years with U.S. Security Associates, joining as the third employee and rising to become president of the New York Metro business unit. He founded Security ProAdvisors in 2015. Oringer also co-authored “Legends of the Security Services Industry: Profiles in Leadership.”
“Keith brought heart and sharp insight to everything he did — whether in business, on the tennis court or with his family and friends,” according to his obituary. “He had a unique ability to connect with people, and those lucky enough to know him will remember his generosity, drive, and unwavering loyalty.”
Oringer’s obituary also calls him “a thought leader in his field.”
