Ackerman Security Systems helped bring in more than $1.2 million for the Aflac Cancer Center in Atlanta during a recent telethon event sponsored by the company.
More than 50 volunteers – including many representatives from Ackerman – staffed a call center during the 37-hour Care-a-Thon broadcast event hosted by a local radio station. The Care-a-Thon events have raised more than $6 million for Aflac Cancer Center.
Each year the Aflac Cancer Center treats nearly 350 new cancer patients, along with more than 2,500 patients with sickle cell disease, hemophilia and other blood disorders.
