Security Camera Captures New York Building Collapse
A security camera captures the collapse of a four-story building in Brooklyn, N.Y.
NEW YORK – A video surveillance camera captured a dramatic building collapse in New York.
The four-story Brooklyn-based building came down around 2:30 p.m., on July 15, ABC News reports.
In the video, viewers can see pedestrians sprinting away as the building comes crashing down, spewing out dust and debris.
Surveillance footage shows a car trying to turn around and drive away. Unfortunately, the driver could not outrun the oncoming dust cloud.
As many as three people were injured from the collapse. Two were in serious but stable condition and the third was listed as stable, with minor injuries, the FDNY said.
The multi-story building was vacant and already being prepared for demolition to build new condos in its place.
