Security-Net Welcomes 3 New Member Companies

The new integration firms include Contava, A3 Communications and A.C. Technical Systems.

EXTON, Pa. – Security-Net, a global provider of security integration services, has added three new affiliate companies to it ranks, bringing its membership to 21 integration firms.

The new members include Contava, A3 Communications and A.C. Technical Systems, with headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Columbia, S.C.; and Toronto, respectively. Together, they provide Security-Net with a diverse geographical footprint, expertise in providing security to the government sector, oil, gas and health-care markets. Each company also boasts a strong background in IT.

A.C. Technical Systems was founded in 1990 by Dominic Burns, who serves as president. The company maintains three offices in Ontario and two in Quebec, staffing 74 employees. A.C. Technical Systems specializes in providing access control, IP video and IP intercom systems to several industries, including mining, education, government, utility, commercial property management, retail and sports arenas.

Contava, led by its president, Curtis Nikel, specializes in bridging the gap between security and information technology. The company maintains four locations and a staff of more than 60 technicians to serve customers across Canada. With a background in engineering, construction and IT, Contava services end users in provincial government, transportation, oil and gas, and others in the commercial market. The company was founded in 2005.

A3 Communications maintains five branch locations, with offices in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia, and employs 80 staffers. The company, founded in 1990, has customers within the education, government, enterprise, financial and manufacturing industries. Operations are run by Brian Thomas, president.

With these new additions, Security-Net can now offer comprehensive security services to customers who operate in Canada and the Southeast U.S. markets.
