SecurTek Acquires Accounts of Alberta Monitoring Provider for $2M
YORKTON, Saskatchewan, Canada — SecurTek Monitoring Solutions Inc., based here, announced today it will spend $2 million to acquire the customer accounts of Intercept Security, a provider of residential and commercial monitoring services in Alberta, Canada. SecurTek would not disclose how many accounts were purchased, citing competitive reasons.
“This latest acquisition is an important move in consolidating SecurTek’s market reach,” says Ron Styles, president and CEO of the firm’s parent company, SaskTel. “We have been providing wholesale monitoring services to Intercept for some time. Taking over their monitored security accounts was a natural next step and we are always looking for these kind of solid acquisitions to keep SecurTek growing strong.”
The new accounts will be serviced by SecurTek Authorized Dealers including Guardian Security, One Stop Security and Diginex Solutions in Calgary, and Authority Alarms in Edmonton.
“Gaining these Alberta accounts will help SecurTek remain competitive and profitable while bringing customers in Saskatchewan and elsewhere the excellent security monitoring they have come to expect from us,” Styles says.
SecurTek operates monitoring centers in Yorkton; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Aurora, Ontario.
