Select Security Expands Operations in Central Pennsylvania

LANCASTER, Pa.

Select Security announces it has completed two acquisitions in the Altoona/Bedford area in central Pennsylvania, adding about 1,000 new subscribers that will be monitored by the company’s central station located here.

The transactions include Audamaxx Electronics in Tyrone, and Bedford-based Koontz Alarm Services, a 28-year-old company that has been owned by Jeff Wright since 1995.

Wright, who will join Select as an account executive in the Altoona office, says the deal “is great for my customers and for me personally. I didn’t have a vast array of resources and services available that Select Security provides. The experience and expertise of many of Select Security’s employees provide a superior advantage for my customer base.”

“These closings allow us to add density in the central Pennsylvania region by offering additional services to these customers,” says Select Security President Pat Egan.

The additional services include managed access control, managed video, cellular backup/GSM solutions, Honeywell’s Total Connect service, NICET Level IV trained engineers, among others.
