Select Security Presents Youth Scholarship Program Winner

Patrick Egan, founder and former president of the Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA), has presented the first-place Youth Scholarship Program award to graduating student Emilee Mae Geedey of Lewistown Area High School.

Egan also announced that Greedey won third place in the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association’s (NBFAA) scholarship program.

The award through PBFAA is the result of a statewide competition, where Geedey was up against more than 125 other entrants, and the NBFAA program is a national competition that had applications from more than 15 states across the country.

The Youth Scholarship Program was launched by NBFAA in 1996 in an effort to promote goodwill among the electronic systems industry and police and fire officials. PBFAA became involved in this program in 1998, and has awarded in excess of $34,000 during the past 11 years.
