Senstar Adds VMS to Portfolio With Aimetis Acquisition

The provider of perimeter intrusion detection systems picks up Aimetis’s video management software for $14 million.

OTTAWA, Canada – Magal Security Systems (NASDAQ GM: MAGS) announced today that its Senstar subsidiary, based here, has acquired video management software (VMS) provider Aimetis for an enterprise value of approximately US$ 14 million.

Senstar is a global provider of perimeter intrusion detection systems. Aimetis’s platform combines VMS with built-in analytics and centralized management that can be integrated with a wide variety of cameras.

The ability to integrate with Senstar perimeter sensors will address the requirements of many markets including energy, transportation, corrections, military, healthcare, retail and education, according to a press release.

The companies will demonstrate their newly integrated capabilities during ISC West (April 6-8) in Las Vegas.
