SentryNet Develops Dealer Marketing Plan at Conference


SentryNet, a North American monitoring network, held its
11th annual dealer conference at the Horseshoe Casino and
Hotel in Tunica April 26-27. The two-day event, which was
attended by more than 100 security dealers from eight
states, offered marketing plans that were developed for
SentryNet’s dealers to sell video monitoring. The event
included information on video verification, video guard
tours and video surveillance.

Presenters included manufacturers of verification and surveillance systems as well as sales and marketing experts that were focused on developing plans for packaging systems and getting them to the marketplace.

“While talking with owners and managers of central stations, we found that their dealers, for the most part, are asking the same questions about selling recurring video revenue,” says David Avritt, SentryNet’s president. “We think it is our responsibility to take the bull by the horns and give our dealers the tools and training to be successful.”

Ray Hightower, general manager of All Safe Technologies of Gulport, says that while he can learn the technology from manufacturers and vendors, the conference helped him learn how to package and sell video for profit and to build his recurring revenue base.

SentryNet also announced it intends to take its training seminar on the road to several locations around the country during the summer months. Included on the tour are Nashville, Tenn., Atlanta, Orlando, Fla., Knoxville, Tenn., Birmingham, Ala., Tampa, Fla., and Pensacola, Fla.
