SIA Gears Up for Fundraiser Ride in the Desert

ALEXANDRIA, Va.

The Security Industry Association’s (SIA) Ride for Education, an annual fundraiser to raise money for the First Responders Education Scholarship, will be held April 5, immediately following ISC West in Las Vegas.

The day-long motorcycle ride through Nevada’s mountains and deserts has raised more than $25,000 to date.

“We recognize that municipal budgets are often limited and funds for training can be scarce,” says Richard chance, SIA executive director and CEO. “SIA’s First Response Scholarship is an opportunity for us to give back to the industry and ensure these individuals get the security and life safety training needed to do their jobs.”

Dozens of riders depart from downtown Las Vegas to participate in the event each year. Attendees can also elect to participate by car.

The fee for drivers is $45, and riders, $35. Lunch and dinner will be provided. For more details about the First Responders Educational Scholarship, click here.
