SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced the agenda and speaker lineup for the 2026 Perimeter PREVENT, the premier event in perimeter security.
This symposium—scheduled for June 24 in Washington, D.C., and presented by SIA with guidance from the SIA Perimeter Security Subcommittee—will gather policymakers, federal agency personnel, architects, engineers and security solution providers to “engage on the critical issues related to perimeter defense for physical environments, including government and commercial facilities, critical infrastructure and events.”
Perimeter PREVENT attendees will enjoy an all-day symposium featuring a keynote fireside chat with Ret. General William J. Walker, vice president and corporate security director, enterprise accounts at Allied Universal Security Services, moderated by Rachelle Loyear, vice president of integrated security solutions at Allied Universal.
Walker brings more than 30 years of distinguished service in security, law enforcement and military leadership to his current role at Allied Universal. He was a special agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and served as the 38th Sergeant at Arms, U.S. House of Representatives, 117th Congress.
Previously, he served as the 23rd commanding general of the District of Columbia National Guard, overseeing Army and Air National Guard operations and providing military support to civilian authorities.
“At Perimeter PREVENT 2026, attendees will hear from a robust lineup of experts in perimeter lighting, LiDAR, protective design, fencing and other innovative physical security technologies used to safeguard the perimeters of public safety, corrections, government facilities, data centers and more,” says SIA CEO Don Erickson in the association announcement.
“As the perimeter evolves, so do both the technologies being integrated into perimeter security solutions and the potential threats,” he says. “This year’s conference offers a unique opportunity for government and industry leaders to connect, share information and drive forward strategies on the most critical perimeter security topics.”
