SIA Unveils Redesigned Logo to Reflect ‘Progressive’ Membership

Published: April 2, 2012

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) is now sporting a new logo, which the organization says “reflects a more contemporary, global, simplified representation of SIA as the primary resource for the security industry.”

Released last week at ISC West in Las Vegas, the redesigned logo was created with input from SIA members, the board of directors and the SIA marketing committee

“Members told us they wanted a logo that better reflected the organization. Just as importantly, they wanted a logo that was easy for them to use in their print and online outreach to show that they are SIA members — the recognized thought leaders in the industry,” says Jay Hauhn, who is currently serving a two-year term as SIA chairman of the board.

In 2011, SIA’s board of directors drafted a new strategic plan that emphasizes member interaction with the organization. The plan also highlights reaching out to segments of the industry that were not previously part of SIA’s core membership.

“SIA’s new logo is reflective of our membership,” SIA CEO Don Erickson says. “It’s strong, progressive, energetic and leading the industry into the future.”
