SIAC Names Sharon Elder 2013 William Moody Award Winner
FRISCO, Texas — The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) will honor alarm industry veteran Sharon Elder with the 2013 William N. Moody Award at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX).
Elder, vice president of sales for Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based National Monitoring Center (NMC), has successfully worked with officials in many Southern California communities. When officials in Anaheim, Calif., decided they would stop responding to alarms, she proactively met with police executives and city officials. When meeting with the authorities, Elder used SIAC guidelines to provide them with a better solution for the community. She then helped them fine tune and work their ordinance through the legislative process.
“Having Sharon in Southern California is like having a SIAC employee or ambassador on the ground,” says SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin. “She does a terrific job for us and the industry.”
Held on June 18, the award presentation, along with the Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) and the CSAA Five Diamond Marketing MARVEL Awards, will take place during the ESX Industry IceBreaker Luncheon, a SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION-sponsored event.
Established in 2004, the William N. Moody Award recognizes individuals who are dedicated to alarm management issues.
