The Security Alarm Industry Coalition (SIAC) will provide training and information on programs that support cooperative efforts between law enforcement and alarm management entities at 15 ADI Expos throughout the United States. ADI says SIAC’s alarm management techniques have helped reduce calls for service around the country.

“Tom Polson, president of ADI, is giving us a great opportunity to inform alarm users, police executives and company managers,” said Stan Martin, executive director of SIAC. “Security alarms play a critical role in public safety, and they work most effectively when everybody involved utilizes the best alarm management practices available.”

SIAC’s training protocols include equipment standards, the Enhanced Call Verification (ECV) protocol, which confirms the need for a police dispatch via the alarm owner’s cell phone and in-depth training and communication resources for alarm users and local police.
