SIAC Welcomes 2 New Board Members
FRISCO, Texas
The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) announces the appointment of Charlie Darsch and Jay Hauhn as representatives to the SIAC Board of Directors.
Darsch and Hauhn will replace Rich Ader and Larry Dischert as the Security Industry Association (SIA) representatives to SIAC.
“We are very excited to have Charlie and Jay join the SIAC Board of Directors,” says Stan Martin, SIAC executive director. “We are confident that both gentlemen will bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and leadership to our organization. We would also like to thank Rich and Larry for their years of dedicated service and wish them well as they move on to future endeavors.”
Darsch is the director of corporate relations for St. Charles, Ill.-based System Sensor. He entered the security industry in the 1950s and founded Minuteman Security, an alarm installing company. In 1972, he sold Minuteman and joined Aerospace Research as their Northeast sales manager. He later was promoted to vice president.
Hauhn is a 30-year veteran of ADT Security Services and other Tyco Int’l companies. He most recently held senior management roles in product management and strategy, and is currently vice president of technology and industry relations for ADT North America. He is responsible for ADT interactions with security industry associations, and is currently serving his second term on the SIA Board of Directors.
