The Security Industry Association’s (SIA) Certified
Security Project Manager (CSPM) program will kick off its
2004 six-city schedule June 14 in Chicago. The program is
designed to provide security dealers and systems
integrators with a comprehensive training program as a
portion of a new professional project management
credential.
The five-day classroom series covers five modules,
including security project management; estimating security
projects, contracts, codes and risk management; project
financial management; and managing the project team.
Before attending the instructor-led class, students must
complete a prerequisite self-study series consisting of
five modules and a case study.
Introduced at ISC West in March, the CSPM program will host
seven classroom programs in various locations throughout
the U.S.: June 14-18 in Chicago; July 12-16 in San
Francisco; Aug. 23-27 in Washington, D.C.; Sept. 25-26 and
Sept. 29- Oct. 1 in Dallas; Oct. 11-15 in Denver; Nov. 1-2
and Nov. 4-6 in New York; and Nov. 15-19 in Chicago.
