Siemens Building Technologies’ central monitoring station has earned Installation Quality (IQ) Certification. The certification assures that central stations have met a rigid set of standards and guidelines, such as user training, employee training, system design, equipment, installation and monitoring process.
“The IQ Certification brings peace of mind to our customers,” says Laurie Mitchell, national director of central monitoring services, Siemens Building Technologies. “It confirms that we are committed to our customers’ security and to reducing the number of false alarms.”
The certification process took approximately six months to complete and required a designated IQ Certification compliance officer to oversee signal reduction initiatives, adherence to a code of ethics and a vote by the IQ Board. The station must be recertified each year to maintain the designation.
