In addition to his responsibilities as president of Siemens Building Technologies (SBT) Inc.‘s Security Division, Phil Lake has been appointed president of the company’s Cerberus Fire Division, Americas Region, succeeding Ron Matson, who retired on Jan. 22. Lake joined Siemens 15 months ago, following a long-standing tenure with both Honeywell and Chubb Security. He brings to Siemens more than 30 years of experience in the North American fire alarm, security and building control industries.

“Under Phil’s leadership, we look forward to continuing the established procedures of a dual-channel distribution system, which has been met with great success in the marketplace,” says Tom Malott, president and CEO of SBT. Lake will direct the operations of the security and fire divisions from the company’s Florham Park, N.J. facility. Matson spent 10 years leading the company’s Cerberus Division, tripling its U.S. operations and achieving a major business expansion into South America during this time. “Ron also initiated the acquisition of Faraday and played a key role in the successful integration of Cerberus into the Siemens family,” adds Malott. Siemens Building Technologies is a worldwide provider of facility performance solutions for comfort, safety, security and energy efficiency.
