Siemens to Acquire VistaScape Security Systems of Atlanta
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill.
Siemens Building Technologies Inc. (SBT) announces the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of VistaScape Security Systems Corp. of Atlanta.
“VistaScape provides a platform to deliver integrated surveillance applications that enhance the value and effectiveness of the entire security infrastructure. This is a core enabling technology for security integrators globally,” says Jens Michael Wegmann, global head and president of the security systems division for SBT. “VistaScape and its solutions providers have done a phenomenal job delivering this technology in the United States and Siemens is committed to helping grow this business – globally and in North America.”
VistaScape is a developer of automated video analytics technology designed to defend mission-critical infrastructure from a variety of threats. The firm has protected major airports throughout the United States as well as government facilities and high-risk commercial sites.
