Service Electric Inc., a provider of electrical and low-voltage solutions, announces it received the Excellence in Construction award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Heart of America Chapter.
Service Electric won the award in the subcontracting category for renovation/restoration interior for their work on the Crestwood Condominiums project in Kansas City, Mo. The 89-year-old building underwent a complete renovation, including the addition of new elevators, stairwells and two floors. Service Electric used Silent Knight’s IFP-1000 to meet the building’s fire protection needs. Silent Knight is a Honeywell company and provider of industry-wide compatible fire alarm solutions for small to midsized facilities.
Service Electric was selected to be the recipient of the award based on the level of safety provided by systems on the job site and systems in place upon completion, level of project difficulty, extent of personnel management on and off the jobsite, and the degree to which the company worked well with other contractors on and off the site.
