Silent Knight Donates Fire System for ‘Extreme Makeover Home Edition’

IRVINGTON, N.J.

Silent Knight, a manufacturer of fire alarm systems, was
the first to pass inspection in a new three-story home
provided by the TV program, “Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition.” Silent Knight in conjunction with distributor
Home Control Systems of Bayville, N.J., installed a new
Model 5208 fire alarm panel with zone boards and four-zone
relay board as part of an upcoming television program.

The lucky recipient of the new three-story makeover home
will be Beverly Turner and her nine adopted special-needs
children. According to Silent Knight, the Turners lost
their own home in October 2005.

“It is safe to say that this home will never be lost to
fire again, due to the extensive and sophisticated fire
alarm system provided by Silent Knight,” says John
Thormann, co-owner of Home Control Systems, the company
that installed the system.

Thormann, along with his wife, Brenda, and a crew of volunteer workers, installed the Silent Knight system well in advance of the scheduled date of completion.

“We are proud to say that we were the first to pass inspection,” Thormann adds. The three-story home, which is the largest project that the ‘Extreme Makeover Home Edition’ team has accomplished this year, will air this Sunday on ABC.
