SimplexGrinnell, a business unit of Tyco Fire & Security, announced the launch of its new Sprinkler Business Development Team (SBDT). Daniel Casteel, the former vice president of fire protection operations for SimplexGrinnell, will join the SBDT as vice president of sprinkler development.
SBDT has already identified five areas of focus, including design capabilities, local office capabilities, fitter and apprentice hiring/retention/training, sales force and streamlining management roles/responsibilities.
