SimplexGrinnell Mentors American Pride Through GSA Program

BOCA RATON, Fla. — SimplexGrinnell, a fire and life-safety systems provider, has entered into an agreement under the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Mentor-Protégé Program with American Pride General Engineering Inc., a CVE Verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) general contractor specializing in design/build of military and public works projects.

The Mentor-Protégé Program enhances the capability of SDVOSB participants to compete successfully for federal government contracts. Mentors provide technical and management assistance, financial assistance, subcontract support, and assistance in performing prime contracts by working with Native American-owned and disabled veteran business firms, such as American Pride.

“In our mentor role, we are committed to helping American Pride, a highly skilled general contractor, compete for federal government contracts,” says Tom Staves, national business development manager for government programs, SimplexGrinnell. “By working together under the auspices of this important GSA program, American Pride and SimplexGrinnell can provide best-in-class, turnkey solutions for fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, emergency communications and integrated security.”
