Smart Card Alliance Calls for Achievement Award Entries

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J.

The Smart Card Alliance is accepting entries for its 2004 Outstanding Smart Card Achievement (OSCA) awards to be presented at the Smart Card Alliance Fall Annual Conference in San Francisco Oct. 18-20. Three accolades will be awarded to two organizations and, for the first time, an individual who has significantly affected and influenced the market for smart cards in North America.

Any North American end user or issuing organization that deployed the technology and helped buttress the industry through education about the benefits and lessons of smart card deployment is eligible for the OSCA award.

The second award is for a North American supplier organization that delivered smart-card solutions for end users who experienced increased productivity, security and cost savings. The third award is designed for North American individuals recognized for their leadership and commitment to the smart card industry.

A panel of judges, comprised of industry leaders, analysts and members of the media, will evaluate applications and select winners.

Entry submissions are due Sept. 17. For more information, including how to enter and judging criteria, visit www.smartcardalliance.org.
