Gamewell-FCI, a
Honeywell company, of Northford,
Conn., announces that its E3 Series expandable emergency evacuation
system is
reportedly the first to be approved by UL for controlling smoke
throughout a
building/structure per the new ninth edition of UL code 864. The E3
Series can
now be installed to work in conjunction with nondedicated HVAC
equipment to
form a system for controlling the flow of smoke in a building during a
fire
condition. The unit uses compartmentalization and pressurization to
limit and
control smoke within a building.
