Software Tool Upgrade Simplifies Fire Alarm Programming, Maintenance
NORTHFORD, Conn. — An upgraded software tool by Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell streamlines fire alarm system installs and service while building a database of information on each installation, according to the company.
Used for nearly all Fire-Lite control panels, the PS-TOOLS program helps users in system configuration, such as component selection, panel programming and remote diagnostics. The Windows-based software also features an intuitive interface to help users with varying levels of fire alarm experience.
Fire alarm installers can setup and confirm the configuration of a Fire-Lite system using PS-TOOLS before downloading any programming to the panel. Installers can also log and track details on multiple installations, including location, components, settings and facility contacts.
To diagnose troubles remotely, PS-TOOLS can provide access to a system’s event and history logs either locally or via remote connection. The software also provides an automatic conversion of older databases found in Fire-Lite panels.
