EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Sonitrol of Evansville, a provider of verified electronic security systems, is celebrating five decades of serving the tri-state area of Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
The company hosted a 50th Anniversary festivity on Sept. 13 with a Community Appreciation Lunch Open House, attended by customers, law enforcement and local fire departments. The open house featured of a barbecue lunch, desserts and prizes.
Partygoers were invited to take a tour of the company’s central station, plus law enforcement officers were presented with a donation for Cops Connecting with Kids. The donation will sponsor the trip of a local child to Disney World.
In an announcement, Sonitrol of Evansville President Sam Standring says the company is very pleased with the turnout and thankful to all the law enforcement officers, fire department personnel and customers that took part in the festivities.
“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary of providing verified alarms to our community, I am so thankful for our incredible team here at Sonitrol. Without our employees, our customers, and the support of local police, we couldn’t have achieved this milestone. We are looking forward to the next fifty years,” says Standring.
In 1969, Dr. William C. Standring opened Sonitrol of Evansville to help police reduce false alarms and make more apprehensions. From the beginning, the company piqued the interest of local law enforcement with the superiority of its technology by verifying break-ins and helping police apprehend criminals, according to the announcement.
Today, the company offers a full family of security services available to commercial business customers that want to maximize protection of their facilities. The company’s clientele includes many area schools, small to large businesses, as well as homes.
