Electronic security installer and provider Sonitrol Corp. has acquired the territory and operating rights for its Columbus, Ohio, dealership. By acquiring Sonitrol of Central Ohio, the firm will begin direct operations in such municipal areas as Cleveland, Akron and Toledo alongside Columbus.
“We view Columbus as a very important acquisition for Sonitrol because it allows us to build out our direct operations in Central and Northern Ohio,” says Sonitrol Chairman and CEO Kevin Dowd, who adds Sonitrol will be immediately hiring sales and technical professionals in this region. “Sonitrol will dedicate significant sales, technical and operational resources to the Columbus, Cleveland, Akron and Toledo markets as each offers strong growth opportunities.”
