Sonitrol of Hawaii Opens Monitoring Center in Honolulu
The facility utilizes the SONIP monitoring platform, the latest generation in verified alarm monitoring platforms from Sonitrol.
HONOLULU – Sonitrol of Hawaii, a leading provider of verified electronic security to businesses, schools and homes throughout the Hawaiian Islands, has opened a new central station here.
The facility is equipped with the SONIP monitoring platform, the latest generation in verified alarm monitoring platforms from Sonitrol that uses specialized client software to perform monitoring, signal processing and automation needs.
During an alarm activation, real-time, digital audio from the protected facility is transmitted to the new facility where operators – who are trained to verify sounds that might indicate an intrusion or break-in event – listen and react to the information being provided.
Simultaneously, monitoring personnel are provided customer information through an advanced graphical user interface (GUI) to immediately alert the appropriate contact, as well as law enforcement when necessary, of a potential intrusion.
In addition, all incoming alarm audio files can be easily stored, accessed and transmitted as needed for prosecution of apprehended suspects.
“Joining Sonitrol’s Hawaii branch has been a very rewarding experience. In only two months, I can already recognize the hard work and dedication from all monitoring specialists and employees that is necessary to best serve our customers and protect them, their property and assets,” says Tracy Jones, president for Sonitrol of Hawaii. “By investing in a Hawaiian station, we are now able to provide local monitoring services and expert security to a wide range of clients.”
Sonitrol’s approach to providing monitoring services coupled with a close working relationship with local law enforcement and the community is becoming increasingly unique, says Bruce Winner, director of the Sonitrol Brand for Stanley Security.
“With the advances in communication technology, our industry has gotten away from local monitoring centers and security companies have instead established huge nationwide monitoring centers that monitor hundreds of thousands of accounts,” he says. “We are excited to see the commitment of Sonitrol of Hawaii in reestablishing a local monitoring center to better serve their customers in Hawaii.”
