Speakers Named for Security Summit

Featuring a keynote address by GE, panel discussion and breakout sessions, the daylong Security Summit kicks of its inaugural event in San Diego July 1. With the goal of highlighting the depth of the Western region’s security products and services, as well as promoting the development of a comprehensive regional security strategy, the event will host corporate, government and academic leaders.

The summit will focus on the convergence of government and private sectors to address matters related to national security, and feature discussion of issues like homeland defense; border control; biological, chemical and nuclear detection; and wireless technology and its integration into legacy security systems.

The event is hosted by the Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT), investment-banking firm ProFinance Associates Inc. and marketing firm Townsend Inc. Its sponsors include Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, the San Diego Chamber of Commerce and the San Diego Police Department.

Registration costs $275 for the general public and $225 for government, military and university participants. The fee includes breakfast, lunch, networking and access to all breakout sessions at the Hilton San Diego Resort on Mission Bay.
